Begin a Process of Self Discovery

People come to therapy because something isn’t working in their lives, or they feel stuck, or unhappy. They find themselves repeating patterns that once might have been useful but no longer work. It can be a daunting process to find a therapist, especially when struggling, and it takes courage.

My first role in therapy is to create a safe space in which the patient can begin to trust me and to say all that is on their mind. I want to learn about the patient’s past, attachment history,  goals for the treatment, and of course, what is happening right now. The treatment evolves over time as we work collaboratively.

I see myself as a relational analyst with influences from Object Relations, Modern Psychoanalysis, CBT, Family Systems theory, Trauma, and mindfulness meditation.
